Shred Optics ?

there was a thread about shred optics a little while ago, if u search bar it it has good info. but anyways i think they a mainly racing goggles :S and i have no experiance with them

Its true they were developped by daron rahlves, so technically a racing oriented line.  However, if you saw a sick-ass pair of gloves that were marketed towards racers, would you not by them?  you've got to see, whatever you ski.  My racer friends who have them like the quality.  The neon green, purple or orange argyle on the straps is gnar too.  so who cares, just get 'em.

true, I have a pair of Auclair racing gloves.  Full leather, good for cold days.  I don't care if they are racing gloves or not.  But I think Shred makes a good product.  Have not heard much about them.

Shred definitely makes some nice stuff. I started riding for them at the beginning of this season, and I really like the feel and fit of the goggles (I have a fairly large head/face and usually wear a helmet). I had a pair that were a double lens (two lenses sealed together to prevent fogging like pretty much all lenses are these days) that didn't have venting holes in them, but the only time they fogged is if I was hiking really hardcore and sweating. They rarely fogged and my Smith Phenoms that I used to have would have fogged under the same conditions anyways. Granted I ride for them so I'm sort of biased, I definitely recommend them as they make a quality product. I thought Shred were only single lense goggles...

All the racers at my mountain get them for cheap, but they are still expensive, so only the rich racer kids get them, and the racers at my mountain are pricks so I wouldn't ride them.

I'd stick with double lenses though.

not trying to be a prick, but ted ligety developed them, not rhalves.

and i really really dig them, the lenses are really nice, and they fit my face perfectly. they also look really sick. i want the brown soaza's. pretty sure the soaza are their nicest pair.

Good call on the ligety part but a lot of the racers at my hill use them. they are expensive but look pretty sick and i hear good things about them.

i stand corrected.  I respect both of them alot as racers and didn't quite take the time to look up my facts.  thanks, KiP
