Nope, looks alright, but I still see no need to hdr it.

And alex, the internet is serious business. Im glad to see your not letting it get to you, keep up the good work son!

But seriously, take a look at the one I quoted, then the other ones in this thread and tell me that those look better than this.

you take a picture of the same subject with 3 different exposures and then merge them together. it was designed to bring the best light out of all parts of the photos. it ended up making them look slightly fake

also paper_route is the most critical photo commenter on NS by far

The only reason I did it as HDR is to be able to see the foreground not just the sunset

how the hell can you even say something like that? because I don't like hdrs and said some of the photos in the "my best photography" thread wasn't their best?

Thats ok though, Ill start sucking everyones dick and saying awesome colors! so that you keep doing it and never get better as a photographer.

RSP - makes perfect sense, I actually did that for some shots on my trip, haven't put them together and not sure that if will.. Like I said, yours was a much better than many others..

Guys, let me put it simply. "HDR", as shown in the examples in this thread, is the equivalent to photography as snowblades are to skiing. Look at this thread in a year or two and see what you think of the photos posted.

And whoever posted the shot of the Audi, I hope that was a joke.

and the doctors office shot was done that way for comedic effect. it was part of a mulit-image series, of which was taken pretty well by the people over at fredmiranda.com (btw, it was not mine). i was just trying to show how an overdone HDR can be used for something.

Well, for somebody that keeps asking for explanations as to why others don't like the photos that you posted, I was simply providing reason as to why I like this one. I figured that you would understand that. All you said about it was that the audi picture didn't suck as much as the one I posted, and didn't provide any reason why.

I am not saying that I agree or disagree, but if your going to take such an extreme position on this, you should put some time into your argument, and not just make generalizations about bracketing and using a d40.

I have stated many times in this thread that I hate the unrealistic over dramatic colors HDR's produce. Not one person that has childishly said "your photoz suck!" has given me a reason why.

I didn't feel as if I needed to repeat myself in every post that I hate the way the colors come out, but clearly I do.

The guy didn't ask for a prissy e-fight, he asked for criticism on his first hdr piece. 
I personally see nothing wrong with his photo (I don't really do a lot of photography, I just think that it looks good)
Sure we're entitled to our own opinions, but that doesn't mean we have to be assholes.
And this truly isn't named at anyone in particular and IMO goes for most things, not just photography.

Constructive criticism is the way to go.

your subjects, composition and colours are all pretty average. they are nothing stunner, like you make them seem. now i have given you a reason.

and with this reason, i'm also going to say that i'm not comparing my shot to yours, mine is nothing special either. pretty boring subject and composition also, but i solely shot it to try my HDR program. i went outside my house on a rainy afternoon, took the 3 shots in 30 seconds, went inside and stuck it together. no planning went into it. this thread was more for my post processing technique rather than the actual shot itself.

ha I never said they were good, just shot well. colours? I was under the assumption you were in the US?

And see, you at least know thats what you did. There are many kids who did the same thing, (boring subject, shot in 30 seconds) BUT they think they photo is the shit because of their over saturated colors.

it wasn't meant to be an insult, i was just stating that you are, which you probably know is true

becoming better takes critique but also encouragement so when you get up all high and mighty and act like you're steve mccurry while trashing people's shots it gets annoying as fuck, hence the fact that you've spent 50 posts in this thread trying to dig yourself out of a massive argument you started
