Heavy Hitting Films: Parental Advisory

So I was cruising eBay at work and I saw a few copies of Blunt for sale on there, and it got me to thinking about one of the greatest ski movies ever made: Parental Advisory. And now, I need to know where to buy a copy online.  The entire movie is now available on youtube/google video whatever, but I need to own it.

Dude Teddy that is the best movie ever, so bad ass and the skiing is really sick. I have a copy of that movie on VHS, when you get back from hong kong, we can smoke blunts and watch that.

really kids. This thread need to be bumped and more of you need to watch this. I was on the glacier the year after this film was released, Mark bought a copy, and I'd say it all snowballed from there into what you see today. Thanks HHF for showing me the way.

i got mine transferred to DVD this summer.  at a small photography store.  they were obviously worried about copyright restrictions, so spent a while convincing them that the film company no longer exists.   try researching local ones to your area?

i was 14? i think when i was up at whis for the family vacation...i can still remember finding it at the video rental store and im like, i gotta have it! of course, it helped that the back of the video said something like "you better stock up on toilet paper cause this video is pantshitting." i promptly took it home and watched it, and true to its word i did have to hide it from my parents too haha.

one of the best memories of my youth, thats the year i truly became a skier. whistler and heavy hitting films.

Parental Advisory was so good. That time was magical for ski movies. Came out the same year as Scandalous and Burgertime I believe.

First of all, sweet to hear people still remember Heavy Hitting. I just picked up a mini-DV camera that actually works and dusted off the bin of about 200 tapes that we shot when making that movie. The plan is to edit together a bit of b-roll that never made the original movie and maybe do a commentary track and then release a digital download for cheap or pay-what-you-want.
but when that will be done is hard to say, life gets pretty fucking hectic and then you have a kid and then it comes down to working and skiing with your kid and stuff like sitting on the computer loading old digi tapes gets easily pushed back.

We mostly work on horror movies now and have a horrorfest in whistler but i do want to get that ski movie back out to the people so we'll see. it's been 12 years. that's like the weedsmokers ten-year anniversary.
when it happens i'll make sure Newschoolers are the first to know.

One of my favourite ski movies of all time.

Snorted Special K off the cover of my VHS copy once at an afterparty with one of the skiers in the movie. Good times lol

That hindy drum & bass track is one of the best ski songs ever!

Would love to see a Remix, or better yet Volume 2 with Audio from Mat the Alien.

I bought when it came out and still have it and the two stickers of a guy in a gas mask bong that came with it along with 13 and others. Pretty Roudy video.

I haven’t seen this film since it came out, I tried to do a little search for it and it looks to be locked in the Disney vault,lol. Keep ahold of what you got!

Just wanted to check in on this thread. We need to get a copy of this online somewhere. My VHS copy is somewhere back in missouri and worn out and I'm craving to revisit this film. So many amazing shots. The sequential tribute shots at the bar was epic!
