ok, i need to buy some new bindings but i'm poor as fuck, so i need to get the best shit i can for the least amount of money. i have been looking things up on the internet and would appreciate some help from you guys.

i found the rossi scratch 100 for $170 which seems to be the best deal i could find.

however, the look p10 lifter is $160. but what is the deal with the lifter? i wouldn't want a lifter would i? i ski mostly park. it's not the max plate or anything, just lifter.

and then there is the look p12 jib for $220. are the jib bindings that much better that they are worth the money? i understand that the din on the other bindings only goes up to 10 and all that but is the extra 2 on the din worth an extra $50?

i would really appreciate your guys help, i know there are a lot of you that know a lot more than i do about this shit.

is a lifter the same as a riser? if so u won't want it unless u can take it off.

the jib bindings go up to a DIN of 12, versus a DIN of 10 for all the other bindings you mentionned. that's the big cost difference right there. The stupid 1mm rubber thing doesn't do shit all, so don't consider it as an extra option.

You can rip the plates off the bindings that cost $160 and get some shorter screws from your shop. At least I'm 99% sure you can, but double check with them.

ok, well then would you reccomend that instead of getting the p10 for $160 that i spend an extra sixty bucks for the p12 jib? are they worth the extra money?

Depends on what you weigh and how aggresively you ride. the lighter you are/you ski, the more confident you can be on P10s. If you ski hard, are a little heavier, and beat the shit out of your gear, go with the p12. Or an salomon S912/914. If you're already running a DIN of 7-8 or more, then I'd say P12. But that's just one opinion. Both the P10 and P12 are great bindings, it's DIN setting that makes the price difference.

well i'm six foot, hundred and eighty pounds and i ski hard.. the bindings i have now are cranked all the way up but they are such peices of shit that i randomly eject. so it's sounding like i really should go with the p12s? it's just the problem of money which is making this such a hard decision for me.. the extra sixty bucks is going to kill me, but if i'm going to be buying a pair of bindings in the first place i might as well get the hot shit.

10 would be fine for you. Also, the din at 10 on a p10 is EXACTLY the same as din 10 on a p12, so don't worry about that end of it. I personally hate rossi/look bindings, and if you can save up for them, Salomon bindings are tits.

i couldn't find any good salomon bindings that were cheaper than that. plus a few of my buddies have the look's and they like them so they're good enough for me.

i have the p12's , and for what you said about yourslef, i'd say get the p12's... you won't be disappointed, they NEVER prerelease, they're worth every penny

Get a job. An extra $60 to save you the aggravation of bindings constantly coming off etc shouldn't be a big deal, especially if you ski hard/well/often.

yeah dude p12 for sure, also you really dont want to be using the bindings on their DIN limit, say 12 for the P12's, they go up in difficulty of release by like a factor of 3 in the last two DIN settings, so if you need a DIN 10 (which you probably dont) then P12 is the only binding worth considering- or the salomon Sti's

if your going to be riding a din of 10, diffintly go with a binding that goes to atleast 12, if not 14. you dont want to have the spring in the binding fully tension (ie, a setting of 10 on a p10) becuase you will get some funky release settings.
