So I went to mount Diablo freeride on Sunday. I was given stool softeners in the hospital, just got bak lst nite. Fracture and lacerations to left elbow, puncture wound on side of left torso, yadayadayada. Basically, I just reopened my puncture wound shitting 4 the 1st time since, so constipated. Here’s something I wrote while at the hospital

A Sunday ride
After the 4th of july
2009
Mount Diablo freeride
Northern jersey
Over an hour from home
Chase palley and i
Had a bike each to roam
Leading the way
I felt determined to play
To showcase for the liftline
So I aired on the jump line
I had a dual crown
On a downhill mountain bike
Perhaps I should’ve stayed down
Now I’m in Middletown
A hospital a bit down south
The only trauma center
And traffic clogged the roadway
So in a helicopter they
Flew me strapped and IVed
A laceration a puncture
The consequence of danger
Me left side torn
I had tried to walk
But blood was open to the sun
I’d drank but a drop
So to the base bedded on a truck
I’ve gone through the OR
And I’m bored so I write
Here’s to anesthesia
And an enjoyable flight
Though when I called chase
To get an update
Palley had tried that same jump
Now his ankle’s been braced
