Salvia is growing in my mom's veggie garden.

I was watering some stuff today for her and I stumble upon a plant with kinda soft green leaves. The label next to it reads "Salvia". Straight up. Am I missing something here? Can salvia leaves be used in salads or something? I was also considering eating one of the leaves to see what happened...

If it's Salvia Divinorum you can follow

false about the processed part, you can smoke the leaves and its actually a really nice high that lasts for about ten minutes, but you dont trip...just feel like you are really really high on chron.

there's a super common plant in the same family that goes by salvia gomphrena or something like that. we sell it at the farmer's market i work at and no, you won't trip on it.

true but if he actually truly thought he would get high from it then it is possible he may. In some cases your brain can be tricked into releasing dopamine with out any stimulants.

ex. (true story) My cousins were having a get together and were mixing drinks they kept mixing this one girl ( who had never drank) ginger ale and tonic water. They told her it was ginger ale and vodka. Not knowing the difference she actually acted drunk. They though she was faking just to be cool even when she kept falling. Then she started puking all over the place like she had drank to much. Her brain was releasing dopamine on its own. Its not that uncommon either think about the first or second time you smoked you were probably trashed of a little amount. Part of this is low tolerance and the other is theorized as the over release of dopamine.

you're right, but you would have to eat way more than one leaf to feel any effects, especially if it isn't dried and concentrated.

Salvia is a type of sage...

like there are types of salvia that are used in herbal medicine (chinese/native american) which are nicknamed something-sage but in reality are salvia-somethng (not salvia-divinorum, the psychedelic one)

Yay a thread in my area of expertise.
That is definitely salvia splendens which has been found to have psychotropic characteristics, but not in large amounts.

Salvia divinorum is what makes you trip.

I got my plant identification book out.
Salvia splendens has oval dark green leaves. It is a sturdy plant and the flowers spike above the foliage. Has square stems and blooms early summer until frost.

Tell your mother it needs deadheading and that mildew can be a problem.

I paid $40 for a gram of 10x extract. You need about 1/4 g to have a trip and it will last about 15 minutes with a 10 minute comedown period where things are still fucked, but not that fucked.

I would definitely recommend trying it, go 4 ways on a gram with 3 friends. It's a far crazier, faster, and more intense trip than Mushrooms or LSD. With LSD it's all flashing colors and stuff, but you know it's not real. With Salvia, I completely forgot what was real and felt like I was trapped in a strange falling world forever. It was enjoyable in the same way a horror movie is.

Definitely try it.

i used to be a gardener at a mountain in vancouver in the summer and we had salvia in all of our gardens and you definatley could not get high off of it
