pretty cool man. its too bad though, that you cant sync an ipod (or at least the ipod touch, and probably the others but i just dont know for sure). i have a friend who did that b/c he develops programs for ipod touch/iphones and he couldnt get it to work. he explained why, i forgot haha

you definitely saved some cash though

nope, there are some patches especially for the mini 9, so you can upgrade right from the apple menu. it has an intel inside though, which i believe is one of the reasons it works so great with osx

the OSX isn't the biggest reason to get a mac the biggest reason to get a mac is how it deploys its processing power.where a pc's extra power would be wasted in running backup programs and security a mac uses all of its power to run programs you are using, but I'm not for either one.

Linux, for those who really know.

my other comp has windows xp and ubuntu 9.04 dual booting on it

this is just a pretty sweet experiment on a really portable computer

OK lets see what u get with that piece of crap computer u showed us. like 5 gigs of memory, 1GHz processor, 256mb memory and it probly crashes every time. i think i would rather have a fast reliable computer for the extra money. u get what u pay for.

A lot of netbooks come with a low storage SSD, which if you are booting Linux, makes sense for a netbook.

For $400 I got a nice Lenovo with a 1.6ghz dual core cpu, a 160gb HDD and 2gb of ddr2-800 RAM.  6-cell battery lasts 6+hours (under normal operation).  Netbooks aren't that bad now, I am even considering throwing 7 on it because I am confident that it will be able to run it.

This dosen't change my opinion of the OP.  Throwing OSX on a netbook, and bashing/praising Apple at the same time just does me wrong.

That's just what my Dad has, let's not talk about my machine.
