Tutorials on how to make a hoodie

Sorry guys, i kept saying that after exams are done that i would get into making a tutorial and stuff but i keep getting side tracked with a whole bunch of stuff. I know most people join this cult to learn how to make their own hoodie... but I'm off to a ski camp tomorrow which doesn't help.... so im hoping that i will get around to doing this over the summer... if not I have talked to a few people about this and hoping that they are working on it as well.

If you need extra help, I recommend buying a pattern pack, which is what I did. It comes with instructions, basic pattern designs to get it just right, and they usually only cost $8-10. Make sure to go to a fabric store to get it.

this is kind of helpful. i read through it quickly i felt like it missed steps, but hey. just always make sure your pieces match in length (ie. hood with neck opening)

Yea definitely buy a pattern. I am making a tutorial, but I used my gopro and you can't hear anything I say during it so I have to mic in over it and I don't feel like doing it now.

Calm down champ. I haven't finished the hoodie yet (have to do the ribbing on the cuffs and neck, I did a crewneck) but I don't think I am going to film it because its the same thing as doing the bottom ribbing. And of course you can't hear a single thing I say in the whole thing because I used my gopro. But what I will do is type out how to do each part and then show the video for each step instead of one big one. It will be easier for me. Its too nice out today to do it so maybe tomorrow.

Yea it's probably not gonna happen. My sewing machine is still broken and the footage that I have is garb. Just buy a pattern.

This is the one I have. There are probably patterns with easier directions, even though this pattern is pretty easy to follow, but the fit comes out excellent using this pattern.

I searched and can't find a pattern for a hoodie with a zipper. Anyone have a good link? Willing to buy online too.

Go to your local fabric store, and do some physical searching. They will likely have every pattern you could think of. Hell, I made a 35" tall zippered hoodie.

Note about sewing zippers: Make sure you have a zipper presser foot, it'll make it so much easier. It's like 'using wide skis in deep snow' helpful.
