so i just logged in and the banner ad on the main page was "the facebook of sex", a PORN AD, seriously this is rediculous, not only are there small kids on this site but im working at a summer camp right now and there are 10yr olds about 10ft away and my boss even closer. I have always been able to surf NS because its a clean site...for the most part...and the kids wouldnt bee seing stuff like that.

I wouldve screenshot it but i tried to navigate away as quickly as possible...oh and a matchmaking site is the banner ad now...it makes me miss double pits to chesty

that advertisement was because you or someone else probably watched porn on an unsafe website, and you now have spyware or something.

that is OBVIOUSLY not an ns ad. obviously. ive seen it before when a computer gets messed up, but thats it. i dont have those ads, and neither do most people.

i disagree. got the exact same banner on my BRAND NEW computer 2 days ago. BRAND NEW so it was never on the interwebz until i opened ns. so I am guessing its an ns server thing

Yeah, that happened to me. The ads were about male enhancement... But i just downloaded ad blocker for firefox, so it's all fixed.

Adds like that can easily sneak onto the site and theres really nothing we can do about it. We do control the ads you see that are related to newschoolers and skiing but to keep indecent ads from popping up update your spyware and adjust your firewall settings!

Ad blocker is great, but for NS, the contests are not able to be seen when ad blocker is on. Be aware of that.

We hover on NS. :)

Its a challenge to make sure that you don't spend too much time on the site... afterall we have jobs to do and trolling around NS all day doesn't help get that done. But in the same light, spending no time on the site makes us lose time.

Personally I try to spend about 30 minutes in the morning really reading through and responding to stuff, then check the site for 2-3 minutes every hour.

Its actually pretty tricky to keep a balance of working and browsing... its so damn addictive that sometimes I just have to shut down an NS browser window and work for a day without distractions.
