Anyone riding Armada AR5's...how have they held up for you so far? Compared to others?

Good. Some scrathes on the base from hitting rocks,so that doesn't count, and the topsheet doesn't scratch any easier than other skis,it's just black so you see the scratches more easily. It really is a good ski.

Every ski I've ever ridden, besides the 540 and Elan Mantis have been good, even the Scratches, though a little shattery, still a good ride. Every ski gets hype around it,the Armada gang didn't say their ski was the best,it was all of us,the consumers, who thought at the first minute that these skis are the best, when they weren't even in production.
So test a ski before you buy it,I didn't,so it was a longshot, but it turned really, really good.

^see, I disagree. While it was the consumers that drove the hype, I do not think it's lived up to it, personally I am not a huge fan of how the ski actually skis.
I'm actually looking to sell mine, with minimal use on them.

^yeah it is different for everyone. I like them then best of the skis I have ridden so far (1080, scratches, skogens, tweaks). but it is different for everyone. I personally would recommend armadas, but others TMs or PEs. personal preference!

^exactly, no one ski is gonna be perfect for everyone, hence why its so important to demo. I know a lot of people love skiing the Armada's but it didn't fit my skiing style, and my comments about the shipping quality (factory tune/quality) were more generalized based comments from standards that I would hold against any new ski I got, and not intended as a slam against the company.
