ok, I know that this has probably be posted and killed before but does anyone have any tips for taking off switch. I suck at it. I nearly always end up on my face or on my back when I try and I really don't air very high when I try.

it came easy for me, work on ur switch stance, just keep ur weight centered, and if u stick ur but out and get lower it helps with balance, just keep ur weight centered when u take off and dont move alot, tey it a bunch with out popping to get comfortable then step it up little by little

the main key is timing jumping at the right time and look over the shoulder OPPOSITE the way ur gonna spin believe me its way easyer and if its not working practice going switch down the runs until u comforatable

well when you ride up switch this might sound weiard bt you usually need more speed then you think you have, so go in with speed, and make sure to bend down a bit, keep your knees bent so the lip doesnt shoot you off ass first, if you keep your knees bent and keep a wide stance you should be able to pop a nice fakie 1 and spot your landing the whole time, remember to look over the shoulder your spinning, the first few times do 180's then go to larger stuff like 3's and zeros mabye some unatty 1's..... after you stoped the first time you will realize its much easier then you thought.....

what ever u do DONT look over the opposite shoulder of ur spin, it will throw u off balance, u wanna look over the shoulder in the direction ur spinning and lead with it, otherwise ull get thrown off ballance, and its easier if u can see the landing the hole time, plus it looks super sketchy

the direction of the head for me at the moment is the direction of the spin 'cause when I actually manage to get it, I'm just doing a 180 to landing, if i was throwing a 3 or something then i'd probably look the opposite way of the spin as it naturally puts you in a wind up position. Does that sound about right?

^yeah, and look between your legs when you're taking off so you can see the lip easier.

dude just start small and dont take a big run up just get low and cnetered on ur skis and the most important thing to do is to stay calm and relaxed all the way through. if ur trying to spin from switch then just get low agian and pop like normal at the top of the jump. look over the shoulder that is on the side ur spinning towards and it will just come naturally. if u cant get the pop just try popping off the ground and then take a fast run to a big jump but butter at the top so u just get used to the switch in run then once ur used to that hit the jump.
