I painted my icons

I saw someone paint theirs so I thought I'd give it a try. turned out pretty good except for the splattered side panels are chipping because I did them with normal paint instead of the kind for plastic.

just thought I'd share

thanks I thought I'd put that in the pic since I was posting, I've been drawing the "latray" one for a while now but I really cant throw it because its my last name and I'm from a small area to easy to get pinched.

make sure you mask them up good you dont want paint on the chords or in the speakers, and make sure you use krylonal (sp) fusion or equivalent or it WILL peel. good luck

possibly... I have a second non painted pair I want  to paint now, the only thing is that the "plastic" type paint doesnt come in very many colors, basically red blue black white and some textured patio furniture colors. I wanted to do some neon but they didnt have any. Im going to look into hobby paint (for model cars) maybe it adheres to plastic.

just sand a tad with fine grit paper and then use it. works like a charm. some models that i help make with my brother are the same type of plastic and i just sand a bit then paint with testories paint.

Mine have the leather too. I dunno I think the female color ways of icons come with leather earpads. Or might have just pulled that out of my ass
