Replying to Narrow vs. Phat Waist

I'm soo stuck between looking for Bacons but I've always been a noob when it comes to spins.  Are they gonna make it much harder to learn really, than if I picked up, say, Silencers??  I need some skis to progress with in the park BUT I want a fat ski for when I live nearer whistler all next year.  Should I get some narrow skis and wait to get a second fatter pair??  Or just buy an expensive "all mountain ski" like the Bacons (apparently all mountain?)
