Salomon Czar: An everyday ski?

Well, I just bought them. They were on geartrade for $266, used twice. Unbeatable. But Im not sure if Ill want to ski these everyday? I ride the east coast, in the lake effect belt of new york, 300" of snow a year and a few weeks of damn good pow. The rest of the time its crud/groomed

they will be good in whatever the longest length is(181 or 182).  Will still be short for an all mountain ski though, but straight enough to make nice long turns.  111 waist or whatever is a very good one ski quiver choice if pow/crud are the aim of it.

Give 'em a shot and see, but I think you'll be surprised with their versatility.  Rocker has come a long way from Volant's spatula, and it will continue to evolve.  Personally, I bought my Line SFBs (regular camber, but wider than czars) as a pow ski primarily, not intending them for groomers, but was very impressed.  Takes adjustments, but as the g in all of us wide plankers would say, it's one phat ride.

Congrats on that bargain-steal btw!

I think that salomon Czar are super good skis and they will do a nice job in powder but i don't think they are gonna suit you at the park, they are too heavy and maybe you will be slower in your movements 'cause rotating or spinning with czar is more difficult for exemple than Suspect, that they are more  light, but your decision is the final one! ;)

i dont think theyre stiff enough for all mountain, or burly enough for park, myself.

Hey man yeah there prettty sick. i can go all around the mountain on my 181's they just are a little skechy in the park.

I had a pair mostly all winter. Not an everyday ski what so ever. Not a park ski. I would only whip it out on a day when you get 3+ inches. Still a really fun ski. Great for mountains where its pow pow in the morning and cruded out by noon. Dont take it into the park. Jibbing trees or BC jumps is great with it though.
