Buttering....

not to sound like a dumbass..but I'm curious, whats buttering?? I've seen it in lots of posts, but have no clue what it is! Thanks.

go to the search thing up there in the top right corner, then put in better, or butters, or butt sex, there will be results for each of them, dont waste our time and this space for such stupid questions......

Check the vids- basically a butter is a spin on your tips/tails right before the lip of a jump- there's also some primo examples in session 1242

i wasnt bitching i was just helping him more then you did becuase there a few older threads about buttering that are a few pages long that go into depth about them and show exaples and videos, so really im helping him much more then you did, it just saves everyones time to search first becuase there is uaully much more content about a subject then you think......

^you don't 'need' soft skis.
and above, that kid for the rest of his days on NS will now go and search for whatever he needs an answer to, many times before he asks about it in the forum, so that one post RS4life made will save us from having another useless, toxic post or butter post or fugitives post.

Buttering is so sickkkk. I like riding my tails, and then when I get to a flatter slower part, I do like a 180 and then hit switch and TRY buttering on the noses. But my heals sorta come out of my boots so its hard to get the back tips up, which makes it hard to spin while they are up.

^by butter do you mean spinning a 180 on the ground? because both my skis are stiff and i'm a fairly heavy guy and i can barely get my tips off the ground, let alone maintain it and spin

the best exaple would be in Exact Science in Mickaels part, when he does just the butter run then the 180 off the roller.....
