Drop in/Lip Question

My rail is 19 inches so i'm going to create a 19 inch lip and i'm wondering how settle it should be (the length of the up part). Should it start 3 or 5 feet away from the rail if the lip is right up against the rail

also, since its higher than other rails, how high should the drop in be, everything else in this forum seems to be a little smaller than a foot and a half. The whole set up will be on completely flat ground.

Ok sorry, how long should the length in yellow be to make the lip mellow enough and not too sudden

and the rail is 20 inches tall and the lip is going to be too

I have a rail that is about 18 inches off the ground and the lip of the jump is the same height and my take off is only about 3 feet long so your yellow part (for my rail ) would be about 31 inches long and it works fine for me...

so i recommend around 31 inches long

two pallets? that looks pretty good, except how to the cement blocks keep, is it pretty stable

The length of your lip should be 4ft. or longer.  I made the mistake making my lip too steep of an angle and you lose too much speed. 

31in. is too short for a 20in. tall lip.

you dont have to make your jump as high as the rail. its real easy to jump onto it. you dont even notice. my jump is like 14 or 15 inches while the rail is 17.

Here's what I did. This was the ramp/lip part of my setup that attatches to my drop in. It is 15 inches high, and I have rails at 18 and 20 inches and it is totally fine.  the length of it is 7 ft, a 4 ft flat and 3 ft ramp up.  And it the plywood is kind of staggered so the transition is smooth.

its not too bad... check my videos on my profile if you wanna see what it looks like.  i didnt make sure that the jump was at a certain angle, i just threw something under a skid to see if it would be sufficient and it was so i used it
