yep. Gettin my first real taste of it at Merrill Lynch. Im an intern aka office bitch, so maybe i see mostly the bad stuff, but it kinda sucks. I LOVE business theory, econ, finance, and all that, but this is not waht I expected... Maybe its just the bitch work, but I am not in the thick of it at all and it sucks. anyone else got a situation like above this summer? thoughts?

sometimes it's just the company.
I know interns who have HATED their jobs, and also some who really liked what they did.
I can't give you any advice on what to do though... good luck with that one.

I'm taking intro to business online this summer and at times it bores me to tears, but other times i'm really interested. Good luck being the office bitch, just gotta climb that corporate ladder.

haha, my gf made 15 bucks an hour as an intern at State Street Global Advisors in Boston. She said it was sweet. The only thing wrong with that was that she is in school to be a nurse, so doesn't really mesh.

ha... i interned at Merrill for a semester.  That was a terrible job.  But, it looks fantastic on the resume.  Just keep at it, do the best you can, and get a good referral from your supervisor and it will allll be worth it.

I'm an intern for Westinghouse this summer, working on nuclear power plants and such. I'm a mechanical engineering major, so it's cool that I get to do some technical stuff and some business stuff with this position. So far so good. It's an awesome company.

just hang in there man. you are definitely the "office bitch" as an intern. you won't be in the thick of it for awhile...even after you start your career. unfortunately, as much as you think you learned in college, you don't know enough yet to be in the thick of things. everyone goes thru it. enjoy it while you can...it's much less stressful.
