There are less than three months until some of the most fun (reckless) days of your lives, who's gonna be there? Last year popped off and with the movies being put out this year, it'll be the most ridiculous one yet. How do ticket sales usually work? Can a weekend pass be bought, or does a full 5 day pass need to be bought. or are there single day passes?

Last year's IF3 was Thursday night through Saturday night. The other days were industry events that most people don't stay for. There was no weekend pass.

You can buy single entrance tickets at the door, which gets expensive quick as the movies are all day, and I think you can usually pay a couple bucks to get into the afterparties.

And then there's the pass. You want the pass. It gets you in to all the movies, all the (public) parties and is generally your best friend when you're up there. The pass usually runs $80USD or so, if memory serves..... which is really a good deal if you compare it against buying tickets for all the movies instead. I think somebody said they're only going to be there Sat/Sun, which nothing goes on on sunday because everybody's hungover and it's the travel day, so if you're only going to Saturday night you might be better off just buying single tickets....... wait for the if3.ca site to be live, that will have the prices and all that jazz. But, you really want to be there both friday and saturday nights...........

Last year, $225 American got you three nights at the hotel, admission to both parties and the awards, and the screenings of all amateur and pro films. And this year, Coors is one of the full sponsors, so hopefully booze is a little cheaper, 9 dollar redbull vodkas at the salomon party put a dent in my wallet last year

Oh yeah, forgot about the hotel dealio. We EconoLodged it up instead of doing the NS package, ended up saving a couple bucks and we were a couple blocks closer to the venues, but it was overall a bit of a pain in the ass. I'm going to do it right and do the hotel package this year and be in the same hotel as ALL the other NS'ers, instead of dealing with a crazy quebecois hotel manager at random intervals. sorry for partying.

haha i got lost last year after the ns awards because the dumb ass taxi driver didnt want to drop me off on the south shore, so i told him to let me off and accidentally walked down the gay street in montreal wearing my colorful ns scarfs that i caught. i was scurred

hahaha well then i guess I was wrong. Anyway, as much as I liked how close the EconoLodge was to everything, I'm staying with the rest of the NS/PH crew this year at whatever hotel that ends up being. Unless we just rent out a floor of the EconoLodge, I'm cool with that.
