Help with my homemade hoodie.

So ive been foloowing this pattern, but making it longer and shit, but when i sewed the hood on it looks terirble.

Is there anyway i can alter this?

You could take off the hood entirely and make a new one with a pattern that you like more, Im not exactly sure how this would work since I´ve only made one before and my experience is lacking.

maybe just cut the throat part lower down and hem it so it doesn't look bad?

Maybe you could cut the hood higher and make the connection to the sweatshirt straighter.  It would make the hood smaller though.

I think you have a fucked up pattern for the hood. Check the pattern here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177602.0

The hole of the hood should start straight from the chest part, no shit in the between. Check the link.
