I wish matchstick could make a movie as epic as their trailers.

Push held up to the hype for me personally though, I really enjoyed that movie. Well rounded and an awesome cast of skiers.

I'm sure there will be a mcconkey tribute in the movie guys, I bet its probably just top secret as of know.
; )

And bushfield is going to be doing some ridiculous shit, I'm super stoked to see him back in there.

I thought that skiing was incredible. I can get my urban fix from other films.
But the narration was terrible. I mean I know skiing is fun, that's why I do it. I thought the talking just really brought down the energy level of the whole trailer and took away from the skiing.

^^^ yeah dude i sort of predicted that the whole movie would be like a big well deserved tribute to Shane, so its wierd that he wasnt even mentioned.

on another note yes i agree that matchsticks editing and music style is getting pretty boring but the level of skiing is fucking banger dude like holy fuck!!!

very sick indeed, but for real you could take any msp trailer, stick with the music and the voice overs and just add in all the def skiing and it would all be the same.

that was really sick except for those voice overs.  seriously?  that's like the single most obsolete advertisement tactic i can imagine...why?  if you're gonna have dialogue in your movies it simply can't be rehearsed.

anyone know if they're going to have the voice overs in the movie?  if so i'm not getting it.

You guys can hate on it all you want, and I know more people are lining up to do so, but by January 1st 2010 This film will have gotten more people stoked on skiing then Level 1, poorboyz, rage, and 4bi9 combined.

Sure for alot of us it may not be the best style of movie. But I can take pretty any of the recent MSP films and show them to non skiing friends or those who are just not supper into skiing and they will watch the whole thing and be stoked on it. I can barely get them to sit through turbo, even though many of us would argue that it was a way better movie then claim.

Just because its not your cup of tea does not mean its not good.

No, the fact that it's not good means that it's not good. MSP movies have 1 to 2 good segments in them now, and that's it. This teaser is pretty much same ol' same ol' from them. Some ridiculousness, but as usual I know what the movie is going to be like before I watch it: same as the last one.

wow... thats seems like a bit of a generalization. i think plenty of people on this site get stoked on big lines and pow, and even the people hating in this thread agreed that the skiing in this trailer is sick. it seems like a lot of people have more of a problem with msp and the way they present it... for instance, classic msp epic music... and i agree, i didnt quite feel the vibe as much as the other trailers that have been released so far.
just because someone dislikes this msp trailer doesnt mean they are a park rat that lives for "hood urban raylz"

but refresh or everday is saturday are my favorites so far

I maybe COMPLETELY wrong, but doesn't the last gap (rodeo 7) look very similar to the HUGE gap Pep does and kills himself on at the end of his segment in Session 1242 ?  I haven't watch 1242 in like 2 years though, so I maybe totally off, but the gap seemed familiar.

Anyway, sick trailer, best cinematography this year BY FAR !

I'm kinda stoked on it. I guess I just like seeing different angles of the skiing world. Almost every movie released last year focused on park booters and jibs, MSP still stayed true to big mountain. Claim did suck fat ones, but in deep looks decent enough to give me a deep pow fix.

I did not see anything in the trailer, but if you go to the news section of their site it explains in the update that there will be a tribute to shane... here is the paragraph word for word...

..."MSP was also faced with tragedy this year when long time friend and star skier Shane McConkey died in a BASE jumping accident. In this film MSP will feature a McConkey tribute segment that will highlight his incredible career as a pro skier. Each tour stop will have a contest to see who can dress up as the best Saucer Boy with prizes being given out nightly. “Shane McConkey was the greatest ski film star of our time, in addition to being an incredible person and a loyal friend. We all miss him deeply," said Co-Founder, Steve Winter."...

You guys don't need to worry about MSP forgetting Shane McConkey. There isn't a person involved with MSP who isn't thankful for every second they got to spend with Shane. There will be a huge Shane tribute from MSP, mark my words. It may not be in this movie, and it sure as hell won't be buried in DVD extras, but it'll come. And it will be done right.

MSP is definitely geared for a broad audience as skiers and non skiers will all be able to sit through it. Some people here don't realize that skiing is much bigger than NS alone. They probably figured out that NS kids pirate this stuff anyways.

 I actually enjoy most of MSP movies with the occasional skip ahead button. Abma, Bushfield, TJ, PK, Pettit, Hjor and Harlaut's sections will be worth buying it.
Also guarranteed McConkey tribute...
