Honduran transfer of power

I wonder why Mr. Obama and his cabinet would support the ousted leftist
leader of Honduras when his own parliament voted him out of office
after Mr. Zelaya tried to pass a referendum allowing him to stay in
office longer than it was allowed by their constitution. This wasn't a
military coup, the military was only used to fulfill the wishes of the
parliament. I hope Mr. Obama realizes that he is siding with some of
the most brutal dictators and radical leftists on Earth including Hugo
Chavez and Daniel Ortega.
Perhaps Mr. Obama is supporting Zelaya because there's a chance he
won't want to be confined by the constitution in terms of term limits.
And perhaps he doesn't want there to be a precedent of countries
upholding their constitutions in that respect. They don't call him
Barack Delano Obama for nothing.
And beyond all of this what business do we have to comment on the internal affairs of Honduras?
It angers me greatly that this is being called a coup by the news
media, that's nothing short of a dead lie. The parliament voted him
out, it would be similar to if we impeached our president, which
wouldn't be such a bad idea.
Also this quote from a google news article on the matter makes it sound like Mr. Zelaya was the one trying to pull off a coup.
"Zelaya's
planned referendum had been ruled illegal by the country's top court
and was opposed by the military, but the president said he planned to
press ahead with it anyway and ballot boxes had already been
distributed."
Thoughts?

So what it's summer and I'm bored, and I know that theres a good amount of us on here in college. Is it that big of a stretch to think that college educated skiers would be interested in foreign affairs?
Also this is NSG where anything goes.

Do NSer's really not care, this is a reaction that the president of the country most of us live in towards a country that is not to far to our south. This situation is relevant to all of us.

naw dawg, this is whats relevant to me: getting fresh new tall tees, getting really high all day, everyday; and Slurpees and the skanks that sell them to me. nothing else matters.

I'm not saying that getting high all day everyday isn't important, because it is very very important.
But it's not the only thing that's important.
look at this from the BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/talking_point/8123529.stm. It is comments from the Honduran people saying that Mr Zelaya was a crook and that he deserved to be democratically ousted from power, which he was.
Then look at this article http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8125292.stm where Mr. Obama calls what happened there a "coup" and "illegal", this is ridiculous especially when the person he's defending (Mr. Zelaya) is a criminal and was ousted for breaking the law.
You should care when the president of the country you live in is a liar and is dead wrong about foreign policy.

I know there are a bunch of us that are in college still (or out of college like myself) that do care. however, there are also tons of NSers that probably dont care equally as much.
People are going to listen to what Obama and our media portrays as the truth. IMO there is just to much going on right now for people to even care at this point. look at whats going on right now under Obamas watch.
-the worst recession in 50 years
-Global climate change legislation (cap and trade)
-healthcare reform
-Iran
_pulling out of Iraq
-North Korea
-Illegals
-a Bankrupt california (for the most part)
-bailouts
-auto companies
the list goes on, thats all i could think of off the top of my head. people are far to more concerned with those than some country most people are not even aware of. haha
i do see your point tho. i really have no response to it, or to Obamas reaction. Im not familiar with our foreign affairs with Honduras.
