Replying to DIN question
Ok so i am 6 feet and weigh 165, what should my DIN be?
just kidding. this isnt that kind of thread. my real question is this: does it make a difference where (on the binding indicator) your din is set? by this i mean is a din of, say, 9 more secure on a 3.5-12 binding since it is nearer to the middle of the spring pressure than a din of 9 on a 9-16 binding? i kinda want to get a pair of sth 16s and i ride a 9, but would it be safer to get a sth 12 or 14? i kinda like lighter bindings. i know the din is "the same," but does the amount of stress (or lack thereof) on the spring matter?
