so my internet has always been pretty fast, but suddenly over the past few days has gotten painfully slow.  any good free anti spyware software u guys use?

Ad-aware used to work really well for me. But now i have a mac, so i dont really need it....

Try AVG AntiVirus/AntiSpyware. Free and works well. Or there's Windows Defender if you're not on a Mac. Or, if you have Comcast Internet they give you a free copy of McAfee Security that you can download online.

all three work great. but just because the internet is slow doesn't mean you have spyware.

avg is a solid antivirus, but should be complemented with one of these antispywares as well
spybot search and destroy is fast efficient and to the point, i prefer it over adaware but they both work great.  If you use search and destroy on vista you have to right click it and click run as administrator, so it has the rights to do what it needs to do.  this is probably true for ad aware as well
