Skiing for the sake of skiing

At my hill, you have to do a part of a normal run to get to the park or the slopestyle if you took the t-bar for whatever reason.
Anyways, I was doing this run to get to the Slope, and I noticed my friends were just skiing in a straight line, not turning, carving or anything. I always try to ski my best when im not in the park!
Do you just ski in a straight line to get to your destination? Dont you just sometimes feel like skiing the glades, taking another run than the park? I know I do. Am i alone of newschool skiers that does this?
Oh yeah and I broke my collarbone thats why im on the computer on a nice skiing day.

If you saw two guys named Hambone and Flippy, which one would you think liked dolphins the most? I'd say Flippy, wouldn't you? You'd be wrong, though. It's Hambone.

some of the best hits and jibs are the little knobs and rollers next to chair lift poles, trees and other shit...

Same here, theres a short run in between the lift and the park. I always track off to the side a bit into the trees, cause it's a good spot. But I tuck it straight once in a while, but I don't think that's just to get to a destination... I'm tryin to go fast.

On some trails its fun just to go straight down over all the rollers. But mostly I go to the side of trails, into the woods or find the fun little natural jumps. Hopefully those kids that just go straight down to the terrian park know how to carve some turns.

the park is where i go when there is no fresh, if it snowed in the last few days, i'm not in the park.....and the route to coppers park is a ''go fast lose pass'' zone on a barely sloping green run, so you can't really do much besides bust 180s of little bumps or ski switch or dodge trees/noobs

I ski everywhere, but i dont bring park-style to other stuff. At my local hill the park is usually the most fun unless it dumps and this one cliff is droppable. No bumps or glades, bvarely any rollers, so mostly i stay in the park there. Anywhere else though i try to stay out of the park and ski the trees and look for a stash here and there.
