Road trip sugestions

me and my friend are leaving from new york and headed out west we going for about 2 weeks or a little more because thats all i can take off work for, we really wanted at least a month but thats besides the point we were thinking about going to chicago, then to mount Rushmore than to near bozemen mt. and going to yosemity, then looping back, just wondering if anyone has sugustions, were couch surfing so we dont really need that many sugustions on places to stay but any sugustions on good places to film/photograph on the way or good places to eat or any suguestions on any places to go or any other routs that are legit thanks

you have to go through oregon up to mt hood...most beautiful place i've ever been..

Resist the urge to try and see everything.

But given that it's midsummer, how about Atlantic Canada and Quebec?

Or if you insist on driving to the west, I do not recommend Nebraska. But the area around Santa Fe is awfully nice, you can visit Taos in the summer, and then loop up to southwest Colorado, Mesa Verde, and such.

That's about right for a road trip.

all i can say, is that washington and oregon are beautiful. i live in seattle...

and, pennsylvania is my least favorite state... i was just visiting colleges and i was in PA for 3 hours, 2.5 of those were stuck in a traffic jam. there was only a tree fallen across the interstate, and it could've been gone in 30 minutes tops if the police and people weren't sitting around picking their asses. fuuck

anyway, endless rant, but come to WA/OR!!!
