Binding upgrade query!

Yo!
i have a question regarding upgrading my bindings to some better, lighter, easier to configure pair ( i have the atomic neoxs at the mo; which are fine as they can accept loads of different boot sizes, are super safe and whatnot buttttttttttt they are sooooo damn heavy!)

so i want to mount new, lighter bindings - maybe some markers or salomon- do peeps say this is a good idea, or will i meet issues with where the orginal screw holes were?

hopefully there will be someone out there who has upgraded their bindings in the past and can help me - what other issues will i may come up against?

PS i will probs get my local shop to sort the mounting as they probs know what they are doing!

as long as the screw holes aren't too close together you should be good to go.

Generally the rule of thumb is 3 mounts on a pair of skis, but if the boot sizes or mounting placement are different I've heard of skis working for more than that.

With a new binding your screw holes will most likely not be a problem, they may be close but that can be solved by plugging the old holes and or moving the bindings to a different position when you remount. Both of those the shop can and will do. As for picking a new binding, what kind of skiing do you do? Weight, height, ability level? What do you look for in a binding and what din range do you prefer to ski at?
