Need advice on good mountains in North America to apply too.
Looking for a change of pace essentially so I am just wondering some good mountains to work at. I'm a dual certified instructor with higher levels and like 6 years of teaching experience.
they're not after the government, they are after the ski resorts... i see, i think i'll have to join the army and have them send me to afghanistan to stop this
Breckenridge seems like it'd be pretty good. Mountain is great and it's a nice mountain town too. Night life wise you could probably find somewhere more active but that might also raise prices and the cost of living a lot (aspen for example)
I'm pretty sure Vail and the most of summit co close because they're on national forest land. The forest service makes them close early for animal mating season. There's always lots of snow to ski past closing dates. If Vail closed earlier than normal, it's because business was crap this year.
I talked to an Argentinean working at Steamboat last year. He said most of his friends were guaranteed jobs at U.S. resorts, got to the resort, and were told to go home because there was no work. 3 my friends got laid off from patrol or instructing out west last year. There wasn't enough clientele.
i figure i'll have to scrap the american resorts as its probably impossible for me to get a visa and the fact that the government doesn't really seem keen on letting canadians in to work haha.
its dee.
i had no idea you were that kenzieann. hahaha CRAZY small world.
dont come back to whis, there are no jobs, everything is super corporate and WB layed off SOOOOOOOO many people in like march this year instead of april. not worth your time.
