no, I'm still right. smoke is harmful not THC. the cannabis plant it's self is harmless, it is the act of smoking that causes damage... if a person just used a vaporizer and edibles they'd be fine.

People like me who are extremely passionate about marijuana legalization hate people like the OP. It's because of people like him that give marijuana smokers a bad name. If you are going to make an argument that clearly goes against what is accepted in most areas you need to be smart about it. You need to plan out your argument and clearly state your ideas.

The OP really just spewed out some garbage he heard from a buddy and accepted it as truth. Then instead of writing clearly and effectively he rambled on for a couple paragraphs making no sense at all.

If you want to be productive in the fight for legalization you have to prove to people that smoking marijuana doesn't make you stupid and lazy like most people think. This kid clearly didn't do either.

Alright, there are three main complaints in the thread. The grammar police,

To the grammar police, i will re-write this ramble for you, but i got a C in grade 9 English so don't expect much. I do in fact smoke Marijuana. as you have heard. I enjoy the substance as it is not uncommon among youth. Off the top of my head i would say around 75% of the youth in my grade have consumed cannibus. There is stores all over Vancouver dedicated to the love and legalization of Marijuana.There are States in the US where it is legal and used for medical purposes. My mother and other friends are fully aware of my " Addiction ". Which brings me to my next point, there are no addictive products in Pot. It has the potential to be mentaly addictive dependent on the person, but is 100% not physically addictive.

If you are christian re-read the bible please. It makes references to " The sacred herb". That reference is made to marijuana. There are religions devoted to it. It is legal to smoke marijuana in the Netherlands as their government has opened their eyes.Would the governments really legalize a killer addictive drug? No, Not at all. It is actually on its way to becoming legal in BC, and Canada. Google "BCMP".

Now i am not going to go into depth why i like marijuana, but i am going to tell you this. Most people's opinions on it are quite distorted. It is really hard to find true information on the herb. Now just because i like to smoke with my friends doesn't mean I'm going to pressure anyone into doing it. There is no point making someone smoke marijuana. If they want to try it, I'm not going to tell them not to, but at the same time I'm not going to force them to smoke it with me.

I am also not here to tell you its harmless. Of coarse it kills braincells, and is probably not entirely good for you, but never has anyone died from it. Tons of people die each year from alcohol and cigarettes, yet there have been no reported deaths from marijuana. I don't know your rules or opinions, but I know my mom would rather i smoke marijuana then drink energy drinks.

I know you are probably thinking how ignorant and brain dead i am as a youth, but i guarantee you with years to come you will hear more and more stories of your family friends kids smoking marijuana. Just because people smoke marijuana doesn't mean they will be homeless and be lead to addictive drugs in the future. That is the case for some people, but not if they stay strong and know their boundaries.

I am really not a bad kid and do not enjoy it when i cant hang out with people because there parents wont let them based on what they have heard of me. What I was trying to say, was instead of being a dick, offer constructive criticism.  It doesn't help anyone to just flip out on someone.  Instead, point out the flaws in a constructive way.  Saying that his writing is a piece of shit doesn't help at all.  Just so you know, what I'm saying about people being a dick isn't really directed at you, I'm just trying to clear up my post.

Sure, constructive criticism is usually a good thing. But this kid put his "essay" on the internet for people to tell him how cool he is that me wrote a parent about smoking cannabis. It backfired on him miserably and he wouldn't even admit it. Now why would I offer constructive criticism if the author doesn't even know he needs it. Even his second attempt was fucking miserable.

Firstly this is well intentioned but the information you used is wrong....
1. Marijuana is in no way 100 percent legal in amsterdam.. the fact of the matter is it is still considerably illegal the fact of the matter is it is a class C i believe crime thus meaning the least of the police worry resulting in very few if any tickets written for it.
2.You dont site anywhere you got your information. While u hint at websites to find the proper information (Google.... if you call that a credible source)  if you want to impress her with real cold hard information use credible sources like NORML.org among a many.
3. If she is using the fact that it is illegal so it must be dangerous state the fact that the government has legalized many intoxicating substances (alcohol, tobacco) which have killed many while marijuana has killed none.
