Where to get a cheap ski vice?

Most of the ones I've found are around $100 and overkill for my needs. I just want something more stable than a block of wood when I wax my skis. Anyone know if I can find a decent one for under $50 or so?

if i knew, i'd be tuning my skis right now.....but i'd go ask all the shops in your town, see if they have any old ones they might be looking to get rid of, or if they just have any suggestions on where to get cheap ones.....might as well try ebay too

it's for squeezing people's heads until their eyeballs pop out.....actually it's to hold the ski locked in place so you can wax/tune it - vice attaches to bench, holds ski tight.....yah it's possible to wax skis without vices, i do it all the time, but you're an idiot if you try to do edge work without them

Check ebay. I was looking for a ski vice for a while, but it seemed that people kept bidding more than the things were worth so i stopped looking.

That looks like a relatively good vise. Not too expensive, but i have yet to use one so i can't tell you how well they work.

I've got a brand new vice that locks into your bindings that I will sell you for $40. Message me if you are interested.
I have a theory that all retards have one long tendon that goes from wrist to wrist, so therefore that is why they always are screwin around with one wrist up, and the other one down.

Thread Dig. BUT I need some advice on HOW to make a home-made one. The persone above explained a way, but I didn't quite understand. If somebody has any picture. I need a vice to hold my skis while I wax them at home.

Go online, research what you need. Write down key components/print photos. Then, go to Home Depot or Lowe's and buy it all for 1/4 the price. Spend 1 - 1 1/2 hours putting together. gearwest.com sells most waxes at an awesome price. you can get ptex cheaper at your local shop
