Going to china in december

So I'm likely to be in China and then Japan in December, getting dragged by my rents to get my Hong Kong ID, I'm going on the condition that I will get to ski. I found this http://www.mellow.net.cn/08mellow/08mellowe/parksns.asp for China. Has anyone been? Is it any good? Also if any of you have recommendations for skiing in Japan that would be great, thanks!
