quit competiting in slopestyle the year he lost it. now the year he loses pipe, quits that.

hmmm, kinda wierd, he's what like 26? and he's already quitting competition? im not a huge fan of comps, especially pipe, but still i was expecting like another 8 years of him being on top of pipe skiing.

yeah true but i mean he's had some bad injuries maybe he'll just take a break and come back to competing, i think its dope that he'll be focusing on learning up and filming

are you kidding me? another 8 years? no one competes for that many years. he was already the oldest guy competing in pipe. skiing pipe competitively is way hard on the body.

yeah in skiing, newschool skiing isnt old enough yet, park skiing actually started like what 10 years ago? our oldest pro's are still in their 20's! theres guys in their 30's destroying it in comps in other action sports.
but yeah tanner definatly beats on his body, he needs to take it easy and have fun. i bet he will be back in a couple years. but if he never does i wont mind, i cant wait till our young pro's of today are in their 30's and 40's still killing it, the older guys in skating and snowboarding are so much more fun to watch.

I can't wait to see what the TGR guys cooked up for this year.

Tanner will be just fine. From what I've gathered, he's pretty heavily invested in real estate, Armada, and other ventures.

Props for going back to school!

I can't imagine the rehab on both legs, I went through the injury with one and to ski at his level by March would be really pushing medical boundries.  That's why there will be no x-games this winter.

Thanks for 10 great years though.

that no one will have the possibility of getting injured from and outraged tanner pushing them over. I think this is for the better of pipe skiing, tanner and simon just do tucked in spins and then tap a tindy to say they did a grab... impressive but it was holding back the next generation's style of pipe skiing. which i happen to like better.

Anyone who has gone through those types of injuries can see where he's coming from... Pipe and park have to be HELL on those injuries, he still will shred hard though!
