i thought it was a another k2 skis skiier and i was about to say that the k2 team is cursed... that wouldve been a 3rd one.

no kidding. This story comes as no surprise given the massive hazards on k2.
I think Annapurna is among the worst peaks. makes K2 almost look kind of tame, and Everest like childs play. Super humbling overall.

real shitty to hear, RIP man.
a couple weeks ago 3 mountaineers from Boulder were caught in an avalanche climbing one of the most remote peaks in the himalayas. only 22 people have tried this mountain, 4 have been successful summiting it and about 15 or so have died trying.
its a real tragedy to hear about but all these people know what they are getting themselves into when they go mountaineering
