As my baseball season comes to and end i just realized that i had about no fun this year playing it. I work my ass off in practice and sit during the games because im a freshman and only sophmores play on the JV team. We get ripped for every little mistake we make. We are expected to run until we pass out every day after practice is over and as seniors be good enough to play at a major college and get into the fucking big leagues. School sports suck.

i know how you feel. i quit basebaall this year. it use to be my favorite sport but then i got in high school and now it sucks

soccer kinda sucked at HS... all the seniors are whores, and they hated everyone who was an under classman... but hey, we won the state champsionship, so who am I to complain.

Baseball isn't about hard core athleticism in high school, it's about having fun in a cool sport with friends. But, my hs coach didn't see it that way.

yeah I played baseball til my sophomore year in high school . . . too much talent at my school and that would take a huge chunk out of my ski season, so ehh. You should either commit to one or the other to make it worthwhile; my brother is committed to baseball and now he's playing year round and starting on varsity. Not skiing much though.

Skiing was probably the main reason I quit, the mandatory offseason practices took a large chunk out of my skiing.

hehe, yeah, I say werd to whoever brought up aggressive scootering, now that is sport for fun. I think if you're not having fun then get out aye, unless it's looking up and will get better. Waterpolo was like that for me, playing in a regional/state team it was fuckin' hard work but it paid off and when we started playing games and whooping some serious ass it was great, the guys in my team were phatt brahs and we had good times, sometimes you gotta put in the hard yards and hate it to love it, but yah, if it sucks leave, hha.

I run track and cross country. I have found these great beacuse there are races for all abilities. The slow people run together, the freshman team runs together and the Varsity runs together. Its still hard work but at least they let you participate in the sport you spent so much time on. Thats why I quit hockey. I work my ass off to 1230 on a weeknight and then not get to play. Besides running gets you in shape and makes hiking easy for the ski season!

Yeah baseball is great! Obviously you never had bleacher seats at Wrigley Field. The Worlds greatest beer party and you get to see the cubs lose too! (dont get me wrong, I want the cubs to win but us fans never expect victory...we are use to losing!)

my lacrosse team is so badass...cause im on JV and the freshman team, so i have practice like once a week and 4 games a week...and start on both teams...its so laid back, but next year varsity will actually be hard

hmm. well a bunch of us where chilling last fall and we were watching tv after we ran out of ski movies to watch. and there was this tv show about 'freestyle walking' it was insane. there are a group of guys from France who do this.. it was so crazy... I want to do it. but im afraid that my 'klutzyness' wil kick in. and ill die..

Sports should be fun, but they should have a certain degree of competition to them. If its not fun tho, don't do it. Football sucked this year for me, so I won't be doing it next year.

your right jesus. There are a group of guys that are potheads and dont play school basketball because of drug tests. But they can school anyone on the basketball teams. I played against a whole team of them in church league and they are really good. I had to play church league because my friends team didnt have enough players, it was fun though.

The only school sport I've ever really liked was swimming. The coaches at my school are good, and it gets you in shape. Swimming is also one of the few sports that I can play without the worry of hurting myself.. I'm suck a klutz..

People who use the fact that they're on school teams for popularity purposes suck. If you enjoy the sport, that's the only reason you should play it. It has to be for you, not for your family, or to impress the other kids.

The only hs sport I do is the only laid back one: golf. It is the shit, we don't have to run, our practices are frickin easy, and we can drink and not worry about our 'athletic performance'. It's by far my most favorite sport excluding skiing.

My grandma made me take golf and curling lessons when I was younger. They're both pretty good sports, because of the reasons that you already mentioned, and that you can play them no matter what age you are.
