i love gorrila steeze anyway i feel like mike douglas was one of the first to truly bring freestyle to the backcountry and t-hall didnt beat henrick in the nz boom edits but i agree he is one of the best overall skier on this planet

I just bought The Massive on iTunes a few days ago.  Tanner is more well rounded than any skier out there.  His BC footage in that movie is legit.  No one can deny that a month in Alaska with T-Hall would make Tom Wallish a better skier.

IMO I do not think he is the best BC skier.  I think he is not the best park skier or BC skier, I think he is one of the best do it all skiers.  You can pull him from the park and put him in 4 feet of fresh and he continues to kill equally as hard.  I prefer to watch EP in the BC over Tanner, but I just love Eric's style and edits.  I'm pretty sure Eric is a pretty good all around skier too, nothing special in the park, but he isn't bad, especially on jumps.

tanners passion for skiing is greater than anyone else on the planet, and thats all there is to this. you can argue the small things till the cows come home, but there is no getting around that tanner was, is, and will be this sport.

I do agree! T hall is awesome but C. Thovex is just a god! The stunning "Candide Kamera", shot after his major injury on the Big Bertha, is the sickest BC vid I've ever seen.

The reason I have so much respect for Tanner is because of  his all around love and respect for the sport. He sacrificed everything to do what he loves and does not let anything drag him away from what he wants to do, not even breaking ankles, legs, and screwing up his knees he always recovers and gets right back into skiing. It seems like his love is undying and non stop for the sport in general and he always has a good attitude towards others. I guarentee that there is almost never a time when after coming home from a trip that he sits down and is happy that hes done and wants to relax. It seems like he is always wanting more and would jump at any chance try something new or go hang out with friends. This is what makes Tanner such an amazing skiier in my mind

tanner is very talented.. but works super hard to be on the level hes at and while he does some super crazy shit..

Candide has had 15 min long video parts of just the crazest shit ever..

Crazy step up cork 9,

cork 10 over like huge as fuck bc booter

massive step up to deck rail 450 out that was soooo tech..

810 to rail over like 40 foot gap.

fakie cork 630 ++ what ever else

and he has the most amazing flowing style..

his lines in the CAndide Kamera... omg... like water..

hes is the most talented skier on the planet..

( no one else has won, Skier x, Moguls,Alpine, A world tour for free riding, 3 x scandi Big mountain champs and gotten poduims at the us open. in slope and big air, ive never ever seen him ride pipe though)

jon's preety amazing.. but we never ever get to see footie of him skiing big mountain... which sucks

Tanner is coming into his own now though,..

shredding with Seth is doing him good.. but idont know if he will ever be on seths level for big mountain stuff. wethers candide already is on seths level..

ya... ill admit he was one of the most innovative skiiers in the sport and brough it where it is today, BUT i dont like how hes too pussy to do slopestyle. everyone says he is too old but in reality candide was doing slopestyle at 30. so...
