Disc Golf

Anybody play?  There are a lot of stoners on NS so I bet some of you do.  I just started getting into it a few weeks ago but i've been going like  times a week.  Thought it was going to suck so bad but its actually mad fun.  Is there a cult?

Yeah man frolfing is tons of fun.  I miss the days of playing with my friends... we always ended up spending more time smoking in the woods than actually playing though haha

such a fun thing to do. they have 3 courses around my house each about 20 mins away. Each one has a different style to it which is nice. The only bad thing about it is mosquito bites in the woods. they are terrible after it rains.

Frisbee golf, disk golf, frolf, its all is the same thing. Its fun as hell! Ive been playing everyday after work cause my local course is only 5 mins away.

The first day I tried frolfing some random stoners joined our group and we played best disk.
I talked to them forever, everything from weed to DMT.
One of the best days ever.

I'm starting to get pretty decent at it.  Played back 9 today and par'd like 4 of them, but they are pretty diffcult pars its a pretty huge course.  I just found out that my home ski resort is a 27 hole course, alternating up and down holes, for 4 months out of the year, so on monday I'm going to make the drive and be really depressed its not snowing the whole day.  I also found out that at the course I've been playing mostly, if you go a lot, you can straight call the clubhouse and tell them you need an 1/8, and they'll put the word out and have it for you when you get there.  And some random dude smoked us 4 brimmer bowls and gave me a frisbee. Pretty legit.

That's fucking awesome dude. We just burn cruise to our course and smoke bowls after every couple holes. I'm actually not too bad.. last time I played I got 3 above par on an 18 hole courseee bitchehes

Yeah, at the course I play theres a bench in the back corner thats got the tee box for hole 6 on one side and hole 14 on the other so everone basically just posts up and blazes at it when they get there.  I've never once gone and not matched bowls with at least one other group of people.

If I shot 3 over on 18 holes I'd be pretty happy, right now I'm shooting like 10-15 over.  I guess up in NorCal they have ridculous courses with like 1,000 foot holes and shit.

yeah the course we play at probably isn't too intense, but its really fun. lots of hills and blind holes. on one of them you have to throw down a little cliff to the basket that's off in the woods haha it's way awesome.
1,000 foot holes would be insane, i want to try it..

anyone want to explain how to play. from what i read its like takin a frisbee, and goin to a golfcourse, and throwing it and seeing who can get the least throws to the hole? does that sound right.

The one I play at on the reg is like 300ish feet holes, and a couple that are proably even 400ft.

Its exactly like golf but in parks or wooded areas, and you throw a frisbee instead of hitting a golf ball, and the hole is this contraption made out of chains, you throw it into the chains and it gets caught and drops into a basket.

its fun. i live in upstate ny and theres a few courses around. nice to go smoke a little or have a few beers and play.

and it is disc golf not frisbee golf, there is the pdga (professional disc golf assoc) and players make millions every year off tournaments.

Wrong. A Frisbee is a child's toy, or a hobby of sorts. Disc golf is a sport, using an extremely well designed disc for flying. This sport is nearly identical to ball golf in terms of challenge.

 I play several times a week and a few tourneys here and there. I'm about a par disc golfer. Anyone ever start up a cult?

Uber fun.  Beaver Creek has a ridiculously hard course on top of the mountain.  Pretty damn long, quite windy at times, and with all the trees i've lost a bunch of disks.  Great way to spend an afternoon.

you are a retard. You use a disc. Not a frisbee. it is completely different in material, size, weight, and structure. It is a disc and is called a disc.
