30H!3 have sold out bigtime

They used to be such a decent band, but now they have gone super mainstream and ae almost an elctro version of metrostation, does ANYONE who isnt a teenage girl just entering puberty like 3OH!fail now?

true that

i hate when people talk about selling out with so many bands. give them a break, look at the situation. your wasting your time blabbering on the internet about somebody who's making a living doing something they truly love. just leave them alone and if you dont like the music dont listen to it.

although success is legit and is awesome if a band struves for it, there can still be a difference between a band that sells out and a band that is succesful while still remaining faithful to their fans and keeping with their original look and sound. For example, Green Day was always succesful, Dookie was an unbelievable album, but they have sold out recently. I think if a band stays true to its fans but becomes succesul then it is legit, I am not to sure about 3OH3, I dont really know much about them so I cant comment.

If you take out their voices and just listen to the instrumentals from their self titled album they aren't too terrible.

But who cares. Most skiers and boarders remember them from a movie a long time ago. Any time anyone says 3OH!3 are cool, just be like, "pshh I remember when they were cool like 2 years ago"

sell out? is that a joke?

im so fucking sick of all you "diehard underground" bitches complaining everytime one of your bands or artists hits something mainstream. all it means is that they made a song that is really appealing. that is not selling out at all. the rest of 3OH!3's album besides dont trust me is still completly sticking to their roots. dont trust me is just more catchy. with every song an arists makes, they attempt on appealing to people.

Couldn't agree more with this guy. Don't Trust Me is kind if catchy but it's still seems pretty far from mainstream or selling out. And the rest of the album is totally different. Also isn't this their second album how can you sell out on your second album??? Give me a break.

green day was shitty from day one and red hot chili peppers is just straight up epicness. john frusciante has more talent in his finger nail than the whole green day band.

I fully agree. As soon as I saw the thread title all I could think was, "shut uppppp"

they wanna make money, so now they're mainstream living the life. And they still sound good, maybe not in your opinion but just because a band gets popular doesn't mean they sold out. It means they're talented and popular and successful.
