BMX Urban....wow.

Let me preface this with a disclaimer. I know zero about biking— of any kind. I couldn't name a rider other than Dave M. or Matt H. That being said....this shit is crazy. Songs are perfect. Editing is tight and flowy. Riding is the deal.

So stoked, wanted to post it. Sorry if it's a repost.

you realize these are two entirely different styles of riding using very different equipment and making the implication that they're the same kind of riding, or even comparable riding styles, makes you look extremely foolish, right?

That was ridiculous! That was sick. I never had really thought much about bikers, but after seeing these videos and videos in like other threads, bikers shred, and they deserve a ton of respect. That was a sick video!

TWO DIFFERENT RIDING STYLES. two completely different ways of looking at obstacles, urban lines, and using your equipment. two entirely different bikes, ways of handling them, sizes of wheels, types of tires and other components (brakes, drilled rims, bash rings, gearing, etc)... they're two totally different ways of even looking at a bike.

this is BMX, not trials.

rest assured, i wasn't talking about you. i'm glad you posted the BMX vid- that was sick shit.

i was addressing the kid who posted the video of the trials (i know you don't know what that is, but watch the second video posted in the responses- the one i quoted earlier on this page- and you'll see what urban trials is all about)... trials is cool and all, but if that kid posted a trials video in a BMX thread on Pinkbike, he'd be laughed off the site.

once again, though, that was possibly the sickest BMX vid i've ever seen, much appreciated.

What should I call it? I was under the impression bmx was traditionally/usually a dirt track sport? No? I have no clue....

And if you're implying "street" is a better word for it...fine. Obviously, as this is a skiing website, when I think handrails, wallrides, and jibs not in a terrain park, I think "urban".

I don't even know why I'm defending myself over such nonsense, now I feel like a tool.

Just fuck off already.
