Skating at Burton Factory

i've gone a few times, but 75% of the time it's locked up. there's a sign on the gate that says it's open 9am-dusk everyday this time of year. they've got a sick bowl, and it's great when it's unlocked but not worth the gamble of driving there to find you can't skate it. does anybody know what the deal is with it?

my friends dad works there
also, some friends just hopped the fence when it was unlocked and no one said anything
ive also inlined it and some skateboarders got their panties in a bunch

it's not ideal to hop because it has barbed wire on it. but you couldn't get in trouble for it because burton seems to be all about poaching.

I would say something if i saw that. I would say, "Hey kids, why are you hopping the fence when the gate is unlocked? And OVER the barbed wire?! Crazies."
But I believe that they have a rule now which is sometimes enforced about only being able to skate it when there is an employee present. But the key is at the registers, just go in and ask a kid from the shop if you can borrow it.

i jumped it the other day.
if you walk to the far left conner theres a spot were there is a V on the out side of the fence and its easy to get over

i checked it twice today and it was locked both times. hadn't read the 'secret jumping spot' post. burton still blows.

tried it. they said they couldn't open it or give me the key because it was supposed to be for employees. but he assured me that there's almost always somebody out there skating and he told me if a waited 10 minutes somebody was bound to show up. he was wrong. and it wasn't the first time i had waited there for 20 minutes or so.

yea you guys should totally bitch them out for locking up their own mini ramp and bowl. how dare they try and keep out every hood rat in burlington when nobody that works there is actually skating it. the nerve of a company whose nice enough to built a couple nice ramps for their employees and try to keep them from becoming a public park.
quit your bitching and be polite when you go there. i'd hate for them to never let in anyone that doesn't work there cuz a bunch of punks keep whining it's not unlocked in the middle of the day when everyone with a half a fucking brain is working. there's only about 4 public parks w/ in 15 minutes of burlington you can go to instead.
oh yea, all you inliners can expect dirty looks wherever you go, it looks gay
