for anyone who is tryin to buy a panasonic hmc150 for next season, this thread might be helpful

I just purchased mine about an hour ago, and am hoping everything ships in soon so i can post some pics. but this is what i got (with URLS included)

There are some places where you can cut down the cost, such as the fish eye. some dont like the fisheye at all, but this is mostly for my skate footage, and this glass doesnt have any vig what so ever when you z02. the battery is a must, and the camera is at a great price at spec comm.

sounds like a good setup. the only thing i would recommend is spending a bit more on that filter. no point putting shitty glass in front of your nice glass.

word. i wanna look more into that too. someone said that it doesnt effect the quality at all, just creates more vig on a pretty much vig-less fisheye.

idunno i thought id pay the 12 bucks and possibly prevent a scratch on the hmc lens

yeah definitely protects the lens but if you're going to spend that much money on a camera with nice a nice lens you should be willing to spend $50 or more on the filter. its worth it.

jelous, i was gunna get that exact setup.  I would deffanatly recommend stepping up a few bucks on the uv filter though. chaces are good that your gunna have to take the filter off to put on the fisheye if its anything like the xh.  I just got the basic Cannon 72mm uv filter and it works great, a little more $$ but deffanatly worth it

im still debating between the HMC and the HPX. yoru prices are US i assume? the price difference plus the cost of P2 vs SDHC really makes me lean toward the HMC, but AVCHD isn't very fun and the Hpx has true variable framerates...ughhh
