Fail. it was the 1980's. And we didn't train BIN LADEN, we gave Mujahideen resistence fighters weapons so they could fuck with the Soviets who were occupying Afganistan. And they did. And the USSR went bankrupt and collapsed largely because of that. Bin Laden wasn't Mujahadeen, he just showed up from Saudi Arabia to learn how to fight. The problem was, that Afganistan was completely destroyed because of that war, and once the Soviet Union fell, the war was over and the US was like, well peace out, and cut off all aid and funding, which probably could've prevented the crazy religious Taliban from coming in and taking over Massoud's nationalist warlord government, which wouldn't have tolerated Al Qaeda.
If you want to blame the government for 9/11, blame CIA blowback and American short sightedness. Not some evil plot designed by an incompetent Bush Administration. If you have to blame Bush for something, blame him for being asleep at the wheel on 9/11.
Just because the government lies and the media is corrupt does not give the wacked out shit that you are saying any further credibility.
this makes a good point, but my friend your tax dollars and mine are funding that war. It was the representatives that we voted for that stood by while this was going on because they cared more about getting re-elected than abiding by the constitution, that repeatedly voted to fund it when they could've grown a pair and ended it at any time. So yeah it kind of is my war and your war.
In a statement issued to the Arabic satellite channel Al Jazeera, based in Qatar, bin Laden said, "The U.S. government has consistently blamed me for being behind every occasion its enemies attack it.
"I would like to assure the world that I did not plan the recent attacks, which seems to have been planned by people for personal reasons," bin Laden's statement said.
"I have been living in the Islamic emirate of Afghanistan and
following its leaders' rules. The current leader does not allow me to
exercise such operations," bin Laden said.
