I'd say it's not really a bandwagon, but more of a common realization of everyone but you that meat is delicious.
Like everyone else has mentioned many times with you failing to acknowledge it, I have no problem with vegans or vegetarians. It's your own life and you can do what you want with it. But trying to guilt a bunch of people on the internet who incorporate meat and animal products into a healthy (or maybe just tasty for some) diet isn't going to work. The more upset and worked up you get the more annoying it seems. We get it. You don't like how animals are treated on farms. You don't need to eat them if you don't want. I happen to value a nice meal very highly in my day, and so do most people. Rather than ineffective and often laughable guilt tactics, maybe try to convince people to be involved some other way?
Either way I don't think it'll work. As I ponder the tortured chickens, my stomach has growled and reminded me how nice a juicy burger would be right now. This natural instinct is way stronger than the thoughts of tortured chickens I'll never see anywhere other than on a plate. Sounds like an asshole point of view but I think it's a common one.
