Back Yard Jib Help.

Anybody have any suggestions on the best way to build a summer jib set-up and where to get supplies for it?  I've heard to use turf and dish soap and water... but are there any other ways that work just as good or even better..?  Thanks to all who answer

build a jib cult dude.  You just use turf and water.  If your not gunna use soap make sure you soak it and your good to go

if you have a local ice rink go there. they usually shave off "snow" and dump it out.

Hey thanks for all the suggestions.. Only problem with the snow idea from the ice rink is that there isn't an ice rink near my house... closest one is like 45 minutes away and that is a bit far.

Just about any carpet works.  Doesn't have to be astro turf.  Use Bio degreaser.  It won't kill your grass.  Local hardware stores sell it.  Put some in a spray bottle diluted with water and just spray down the carpet or wet it with a hose and then spray it.  It'll be slicker than sauteed snail shit.

as long as you have a steep enough drop-in it should work. just make sure to spray it down with a bunch of water.

Turf is sold at home depot or lowes for about 50 cents per square foot which isn't bad. Also you can buy your wood and pvc there.  Make sure that your drop in is high enough for you to get sufficient speed. I have hills up north so i don't have to worry about it, but speed is of the utmost importance so make sure your drop in is tall enough.

The steepness of the drop-in is very important. I can send you a photo of my setup if your interested. I built my kicker out of dirt and built wooden supports for the sides to keep the dirt in, its worked amazing every time I've skied this summer. (About 5+ so far).

I do get snow from the rink though, this seems to be the best way to do it if there's one near you. 1 trunk full of snow and we have about a 1-2hour session depending on the weather outside. So far it's taken just under an hour from leaving the house to get the snow to first drop in, and that's from a rink about 15mins away.

u can use that plastic orange fence stuff they put up at constuction sites idk where u can buy it but if theres a build site near u see if theres any lying around

 I use the orange mesh fencing and that works just fine. plus, it is usually free

Carpet remnants will usually work great and you can usually get it for free.  Seriously, I live by University of Denver.  People are always moving out and throwing away floor rugs and carpet.  That's an instant cover for your drop in.  I haven't tried the construction fence thing yet, but it sounds like it works.  I think I'd feel better dropping switch on a carpet covered ramp than something covered with the plastic mesh.  That's just me.  The bio degreaser that I have some times works too well and it's actually too fast.  I have heard the same thing happens with snowgel.  You end up disastering your rail.
