i have 07/08 armada AR6s and i am a beginner/intermediate skier who rides all mountain but wants to improve in the park. how should i mount my skis? true center? 1cm back?
Mount them 1.5 cm back. My skis are mounted true center but thats because I land switch quite a bit and use natural features. In the park it's quite a bit easier to ski switch with center mounted skis but its not a huge deal. Not worth it to mount them center for all mountain if you wanna be laying out some huggeeeee gs turns and keep the flex of the ski more natural.
It is quite a noticable difference, but keep in mind that that is not only a significant improvement in the park but a significant decrease in all mountain performance. Keep that in mind when you make your choice. That said, its not impossible to ski all mountain on center mount, but pow/crud will be more awkward. I personally find it easier to ride park on 2 cm back than to ride all mountain on a center mount.
