I am sooo sick of people going around the park acting sooo cooool and badass  that their not wearint a helmet. Youre not cool youre just stupid. In the beginning my parents made me wear a helmet but now im glad i did because it saved my life so many times i would be dead if I did not have it on. Helmets look so much cooler too. I think people who dont wear helmets are stupid. they think their cool but their just not. If you take a bad fall without a helmet you can die easily.

how did it save u live a bunch of times, where u getting shot at. i dont wear a helmet cause mine doesnt fit well and i think a beanie looks way steezier. u have one post and this sight is very controversial so be prepared to get bitched out. i dont think there is anything wrong with helmets but you cant hate on people who dont agree with u. oh and there are bound to be a shit load of threads on this.

I doubt most think they are cooler for rocking a hat over a helmet, no one really gives a fuck around here. And even if they do, let them be that way and live with a much higher risk of getting fucked up in a crash. Their decision is not (or should not) be affecting you.

To my knowledge, most people I ski with who don't wear helmets usually don't/never fall. It's called confidence and I don't completely agree with it but its their head not mine, I always wear a helmet skiing park.

If people don't want to wear a helmet let them be. Its their decision...

In my opinion a helmet is completely necessary especially in the park. Who cares if it doesn't look cool. It looks cooler to get back up after a fall and try it again while wearing a helmet, than fall and be out of commission for a while because you didn't wear one.

These are also kids who are hitting much bigger features with much higher stakes.

It's ignorant to think you don't fall enough to justify a helmet. I'm not ragging on those who don't rock one, but that's a stupid way to defend it.

as far as people thinking they are "cooler" or "better" then people who dont ware helmets i totally agree with you, those people are ignorant for sure...but me i never could get used to wearing one when i was much younger my mom would bitch about me not wearing one, tried it once didnt feel comfortable to me, this was a few years ago so im sure they helmet technology has much improved sence then but i honestly dont think it should be a big deal  one way or another, granted there is no denying that wearing a helmet is much safer and could save you life depending on the circumstances....what i really fear might start becoming more popular is resots requiring the use of helmets, this i would be a little upset with but i fell it should be your responsibility as a skier to know you limits or abilities and not push yourself too too hard, but you still gotta progress so bottom line it should be your choice, dosnt make you "cooler" or "better" eaither way to me personally...

To me being a geezer I am always amazed how many people actually do wear helmets now.  When I learned to ski it was unheard of to wear a helmet.  Now days there are so many people wearing them its no big deal either way.  But I wear a helmet because I can go to work the next day and get my job done if I blow out a knee or break my wrist but a concussion would leave me sitting at home using PTO that would otherwise go towards skiing out west or other vacations not sitting on my ass at home.

honestly its not that big a deal. i mean its your choice. i always wear mine tho cuz i know a guy who didnt wear one and now he cant walk. so there. its like wearing a seatbelt, you know its there to protect you, but most of the time it seems either inconvenient or gay

If you get a good one and take the earpads off it still looks fine, and honestly alot of the time i forget i'm even wearing one.  And two concussions already is enough reason to just rock it.

i think helmets look sick with stickers but i don't really care. They help out but to an extent, a lot of people can still get pretty serious injuries whether they are wearing a helmet or not

where are these people that think that helmets are lame? I've never heard that anywhere... the people that don't wear them just find them unnecessary/ uncomfortable.

I always wear one when I'm doing serous riding. I just don't think helmets are needed every day I ski, especially the days I film. that, and I can't wear my headphones w/ my helmet on.

exactly. the only time i usually don't wear a helmet is if i know the park really well and am confident in how i'm going to be hitting the features. But helmets are dope, having tune-ups is so much more comfy than earbuds or headphones.

I honestly dont care, if ppl dont want to wear helmet, they dont+ if they die/get injured their death/injury will result in an augmentation of the overall x-tremeness of the sport, thereby makin me look rad....
