i know there are other threads about the movie, but they are old and i dont feel like bumping them.

This movie is fucking amazing. I just watched it for the second time. It actually makes me feel like a bitch. one, for being american, and two - because i donno if i would ever do that shit. these fuckers just brawl over soccer teams! i mean i will fight if i have to and have, but these guys love getting punched in the face. one of my favorite lines is "Once you've taken a few punches and realise you're not made of glass,you don't feel alive unless you're pushing yourself as far as you can go."

yeah man one of my favorites.  and i was talking to a buddy from england and they do have the gnags (i know they call them something different in the movie jsut cant remember) for every team, buts its jsut not as serious with the fighting.  they have gotten in fights, but they dont go out of their way and kill people like that over a regular match game.

I highly suggest watching the movie "Football Factory"   It's so much more badass and realistic than Green Street Hooligans, but it's basically the same premise. GHS was sick, but for christs sake people, it was the most hollywood made movie ever. toby mcguire was the main character, he would have gotten his ass kicked!

Great fucking movie, and I dont give a shite about West Ham...

Football Factory is cool too I guess, but the story in Green Street is like 10 times fucking better. Football factory is just Danny Dyer getting the piss knocked out of him for 180 minutes until he cunts out and follows the rugby...

The best thing that the Football factory did was "real football factories". You can watch them on youtube. They're the fucking tits and they really show the passion involved in the sport... especially the "Real Football factories - International" one... its fucking mad.

You'd be surprised. Some more than others, but the mentality when a fight starts is intense.

A group from a Rangers firm kicked a policeman into a coma last year, and firms from East London and the Midlands are constantly fighting, damaging things, etc. It's actually really bad. You have to see it to believe it.

When Celtic travelled to Seville in 2003 and lost in the Uefa Cup final, they had just a fantastic party and mingled with the people there and had a great time... No rioting or tearing up the streets... even after they lost and they were upset, there was not a single arrest...

Cmon the hoops. We're taking it back this year. They dont strand a chance now...

only problem i have with this movie is the way that everyone that sees it immediately becomes a west ham fan, and in the off chance they recognize you wearing some other team's shit, they wanna fight. I've even encountered a few who, when asked, told me west ham were from the city of west ham-right outside of manchester. And just a short walk from the great city of millwall.

Millwall are the worst. I live in Bermondsey, and it's a nice, middle class area until Milwall match days, then its time to stay the fuck away from South Bermondsey, especially if they're playing another London club

This is quite funny to hear freestyle skiers discussing hooligans and the Old firm.

I have seen “firms” fight twice and it’s a pretty scary experience to be honest with you.

The first was during a Old firm game (Celtic versus rangers arguably the biggest derby in the word)

Ttwo rangers fans ran down the middle of the road trying to provoke a reaction from the celtic fans , that’s what they did, then about 80-100 Celtic fans chased the two rangers fans round the corner, were they meet the rest of the rangers fans, then it all kicked off, 200 hundred fans fighting in the middle of the road, didn’t last long though as the police arrived within 5 minutes, took them slightly longer to break it up lol.

The rivalry is unreal if you were to walk into certain parts in Glasgow wearing the wrong top, it could cost you your life. ( seriously not  exaggerating in any way)

The second was during an Ayr United versus Kilmarnock game, basically what happened was our bus driver went the wrong way, by the pub where the Kilmarnock fans drink at. All the people from our buses ran off too fight with the killie fans. Wasn’t as bad as the old firm game, (seen a player from my old football team with his face kicked in nose burst, face cut , don’t even think he realised he was that pissed.
