they had a wooden up rail where i was in winter, im pretty sure it was imposible to hit it on skis. i didn't like that. i also dislike boxes of all varitys, but i guess they are something you have to live with.

I read this thread and laughed! i come from a shitty mountain thats tryingto have a good park but all the money is going into raceing, we did'nt even get money for new shovels we had one metal shovel and two  rakes  but my season was fine i learned to have funn on what you got and took a few trips to places with good parks.

i so agree. i mean fuck has anyone ever been to west mountain in NY ? it's by far has the shittiest park. EVER. half the features are broken. and they still set them up. believe me it's shit. and its the owners fault. he promised markus@skiwest, a new rail plan and money and never got done. mark did his best. the mountain just blows. and unfortunately its my home mountain.

at my ski area they built a quarterpipe for the first time this year. unfortunately it was after the large park jumps so snowboarders would hike up the landings and strap on their boards on the knuckle. pissed me off. I watched someone hit one of them and it was really funny

Pretty much anything Sierra Summit built this year.  The biggest jump we had was 15, maybe 20ft.  The jumps had no landings and the rails/boxes we no where near innovative.  The worst part is we get well over 200 inches of snow each year, maybe close to 300.  Plus, we have snowmaking in the park.  Even when we only got 8ft. of natural snow in 2007 we had a few 40 footers and some super fun rails and boxes.  It's our ignorant ass park manager that we got this year.

dont really hate any features, cause you can usually find something fun to do on anything. the one thing that would be nice to have more ofter tho, is just like a 20ft flat bar to drop off. super simple but so fun.

any sort of ride on rail is annoying. If your park is managed by a ski school who sucks at park you end up with a lot of that.

ride on rails or rails with a gap that is huge ( for snowboarders to 50 50) that you have to go insanely fast so you dont have time to even do a switchup

thats def gotta be my favorite thing overall i hit all year so much fun plus all the wrinkles in it make a sick sound...only downside is sometimes for me atleast it would hurt my balls from all the viberation when ni rode over them weird idk
