anyone know what is up with the flex on the salomon pro model boot. I know the 1080 boot is a flex of 85 and it can't be changed with the canting. But someone told me that the PRO MODEL boot can be adjusted so it becomes almost as soft as the 1080 or even softer because the canting be adjusted or the bolt can be taken completely out.
you buy the pro model for the stiffness. why would you want to take the stiffness away from a boot which you buy cuz its stiffer? i dont...under..stand...*tear*
I want to say I read last year the flex is 95. If you don't need the stiffness just go buy a moldable liner for $20, get them formed to your feet and save the $200 of paying for Soli's pro model. Thats what I did.
i ski the pro model and its the sickest boot ever. its not really that stiff. but ya you can take out the bolt things or even cut out part of the back to make them real soft. but for real its not that stiff
first of all canting has nothing to do with flex, and a regular liner will fit just as well as a heat moldable liner after you ski in it about five times. so if you want a soft flexing boot don;t waste money on the promodel, get the teneighty. I work in a shop and I know for a fact that the salomon liner packs our really easily anyway (which isn;t good) buy rossi's or atomics for park skiing. rossi soft 1 or atomic e9
