1080 pro model boot flex???

Hey,
anyone know what is up with the flex on the salomon pro model boot. I know the 1080 boot is a flex of 85 and it can't be changed with the canting. But someone told me that the PRO MODEL boot can be adjusted so it becomes almost as soft as the 1080 or even softer because the canting be adjusted or the bolt can be taken completely out.
Thanx

i don't think canting has anything to do with the flex of the boot, all canting does is change the static position of the upper part of the boot to lean more forward.....it may make it easier to flex forward, but the actual stiffness of the boot has nothing to do with canting (unless i'm wrong, but i don't think i am.....shop workers?)

the man is right, canting has nothing to do with flex

anyone want to fill in a newb like me on flex ratings (85, 100)? What is common for a freestyle boot vs. an all-mountain boot?

the higher u go, the stiffer the boot
the stiffer the boot is, the less it becomes a freestyle boot
however, every person is different so try on different boots and see what fits
one of my friends skis i believe 130 cuz he got really bad shin bang a few years ago

A super soft boot will be 75, an all mountain boot about 90-100, and a race boot as high as 125
