Timberline summer public park?

yes there is a public park that is open right now and will be for the rest of the summer. Skied it on Thursday and it was sick.

5 jumps ranging from 10-40 or so. some rails on boxes. Halfpipe. Pretty dope. Chair is running slow, so the lift line sucks. Should be able to lap for about another week. maybe more, maybe less. Hard to say.

lapping the park is the same as just saying your gonna ski the park. just another way of saying it

by lapping the park i mean being able to go through the park w/o hiking it, for the first part of the summer in hood you can "lap" the park with out having to hike but then it gets melted out and you are forced to hike is my understanding, i'm wondering how long it will be before you are forced to hike it

ummm kinda you can usually lap the park via chairlift for the first part of the summer but then in by mid summer you have to take the chairlift up but you can't ski back to the chairlift so you have to hike the park and either hike out or hike down, i'm no hood expert though so anyone who is knows for sure correct me if i'm wrong

first part of summer u can ski from top of lift to the bottom = lapping.
second part u can only ski top half of mountain then u have to ride lift down, or hike out.
last year we were skiing all the way to the bottom (lapping) tell around july 20th,
any one no if it will be like that again?

Public park is amazing right now. 5 jump line if you fancy. Jumps 3 and 4 are really nice. Theres some really nice jibs setup as well. Edit what?

If I'm not mistaken, last year had the most snowfall ever in history of Hood.  that would explain why it doesn't look as good as last year

The snow up there is definitely melting fast, but we're supossed to get snow tonight.

We had great snowfall last year, but not nearly as much this year. Still a great base, but it looks about like it did mid/late-july right now.

Yeah I would say there is defenitly less snow this year, after a warm may. But I think that june 10th ish sound like about the time when you will have to start hiking the park.

ugh!! that makes me mad. we were freezing. and now its gonna clear up. but still, that park didnt seem that good. from what ive been seeing, its supposed to be sick. i got so stoked when i got to the top and saw that huge park. i ski down, sign says "High Cascade Snowboard Camp riders only". $@%&

oh. and i saw four pros :)

I've been there all week.

There is a four jump line and a jib line with a c box, a down rail, a big flat box, a pole jam, and at the end there is a rainbow box and a propane tank.

It's really fun.
