+44 should be the country code. Dıd you try just sımply dıalıng that number? I'm ın europe rıght now, and when I call the US or even other countrıes ın europe, I just dıal that number exactly as ıt shows. The us code ıs 001, greece ıs 30, turkey ıs 90 ect...Also, I thınk ıt's much cheaper to call ınternatıonally ıf you get a phone card and call from a pay phone, somethıng lıke 5 euros for 3 hours of callıng tıme, ınstead of a euro a mınute or whatever rıdıculous amount they charge...
